There are three classes in the CTE Information Technology Pathway. The focus in this pathway is learning computer programming and art by designing video games. First year, the course is Computer Programming and Game development - VG1. Year two, the course is Game Development and Design - VG2. The capstone course which is the third year course is C# Advance Game Design and Development VG3. Students will learn a specialized curriculum focusing on the needs of the gaming industry, while collaborating with peers to create games from start to finish.
Games and applications, especially those evolving mobile device, now occupy a increasing amount of time of a student's day. Students will be engaged in math, art, and engineering when creating a video game. This pathway offers programming, pixel art, 3D modeling and animation while building different types of games found on everyone's PC, Game Consul and mobile phone using STEAM (Science Technology Engineering, Art, Mathematics).
